Actrice et Artiste ( égyptienne) Née le 26 janvier 1942Décédée le 22 juin 2001 (à l'âge de 59 ans) Souad Hosni (née le 26 janvier 1942 au Caire, morte le 22 juin 2001 à Londres) était une célèbre actrice égyptienne.
Souad surnommé "Cendrillon de l'écran arabe" est l'une des actrices qui a le plus influencé le cinéma égyptien. Elle est devenue célèbre au début des années 50, elle a tourné une centaine de film en trente ans. Elle commence sa carrière à l'âge de 15 ans, en obtenant le premier rôle dans le film Hassan et Naima, une comédie musicale réalisée par Henri Barakat. Elle devient célèbre dans le monde arabe en interprétant le rôle de "Zouzou" dans une comédie musicale où elle y joue le rôle d'une étudiante révoltée. Vivant à l'heure du nassérisme, et du panarabisme laïque, elle était pour de nombreux égyptiens et arabes le symbole du changement, et le visage de la modernité.
