Acteur et Artiste ( Américain) Né le 23 mai 1883Décédé le 12 décembre 1939 (à l'âge de 56 ans) Douglas Fairbanks, de son vrai nom Douglas Elton Ulman, est un acteur de cinéma américain, né le 23 mai 1883 à Denver (Colorado) et mort le 12 décembre 1939 à Santa Monica (Californie).
Il fait ses débuts à Broadway en 1902.
En 1919 il fonde la société de distribution United Artists avec Charles Chaplin, D.W. Griffith et Mary Pickford, qui deviendra sa femme.
Il fait partie des premières « étoiles » de l'histoire du cinéma.
Son fils, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. (1909-2000), était acteur lui aussi.
