Alvin Lee (pour l'état-civil Graham Barnes, né le 19 décembre 1944 à Nottingham, en Angleterre), est un guitariste de rock depuis les années 1960. Sa carrière débuta avec les Jaybirds et se développa mondialement à la fin de la décennie alors qu'il était devenu leader du groupe Ten Years After.
Alvin Lee commence à jouer de la guitare à l'âge de 13 ans, puis, avec Leo Lyons, il forma le cœur du groupe Ten Years After (TYA) en 1960. Influencé par le jazz et le blues de ses parents, il s'enflamme surtout pour le Rock 'n' roll qui déclencha sa passion et sa créativité et les guitaristes comme Chuck Berry et Scotty Moore nourrissent son inspiration.
