Alison Lohman est une actrice américaine née le 18 septembre 1979 à Palm Springs en Californie.
Dès l'âge de 9 ans, Alison Lohman chante, danse et se produit sur scène dans un spectacle local, The Sound Of Music. Après une vingtaine de représentations, elle joue le rôle-titre de la comédie musicale Annie. Grâce à sa prestation elle remportera le Desert League Theatre Award.
Vers la fin des années 90, après cette expérience vécue sur la scène et malgré l'offre d'une bourse par la Tisch School of the Arts de New York, elle décide de partir à Los Angeles pour tenter de devenir comédienne. Elle joue dans de petites productions comme le film de science-fiction Kraa ! the sea monster (1998) ou des comédies familiales : The Million dollar kid (2000) et Delivering Milo (2001).
