Jack Palance, né Volodymyr (ou Walter) Palahniuk (en Ukrainien: Volodymyr PALAHNIUK) (né le 18 février 1919 à Lattimer Mines, Pennsylvanie, mort le 10 novembre 2006 à Montecito, Californie) est un acteur américain d'origine ukrainienne.
Son visage aux traits anguleux et émaciés, refait à la suite de blessures reçues lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et sa dégaine le cantonnent à des rôles de méchants dans des westerns ou des films de gangsters. Durant les années 1960, il joue dans plusieurs fims européens, entre autre pour Jean-Luc Godard.
Sa carrière est relancée par le succès inattendu du film Bagdad Café en 1987 dans lequel il dévoile une autre facette de son talent. Un Oscar couronne sa carrière en 1990.
