Johnny Ramone (de son vrai nom John Cummings), né le 8 octobre 1948 à New York et mort le 15 septembre 2004 à Los Angeles d'un cancer de la prostate à l'âge de 55 ans, était le guitariste du groupe de punk rock américain Ramones .
Il a commencé sa carrière alors qu'il était adolescent avec le groupe Tangerine Puppets aux côtés de Tamás Erdélyi futur batteur des Ramones sous le nom de Tommy Ramone.
Durant sa jeunesse, Johnny était du style Greaser et était grand fan des Stooges.
Ils rejoignent les autres membres du groupe new-yorkais représentatif du mouvement punk des années 1970 : le chanteur Joey Ramone, mort en 2001, et le bassiste Dee Dee Ramone mort d'une surdose en juin 2002.
Leur premier album, simplement titré Ramones, sort en 1976, avec des titres courts et simples et rencontre un succès rapide. Au début des années 80 la petite amie du chanteur Joey Ramone le quitt...
