Johann Strauss II (ou Johann Strauß Sohn - Johann Strauss fils - ou Johann Strauss le jeune, ou Johann Strauss Junior, ou Johann Sebastian Strauss) (25 octobre, 1825 – 3 juin, 1899) est un compositeur autrichien particulièrement réputé pour ses valses, comme Le Beau Danube bleu.
Johann Strauss II est le fils de Johann Strauss I, lui-même compositeur. Ses frères Josef Strauss et Eduard Strauss sont aussi compositeurs, mais Johann II est le plus célèbre de la famille. On le surnomme « le roi de la valse », car il a transformé une modeste danse rurale en un divertissement brillant, surpassant ses prédécesseurs tels que Joseph Lanner et Johann Strauss I. Plusieurs de ses polkas et marches sont également très connus, de même que son opérette Die Fledermaus.
