Actrice et Artiste ( Coréen du nord) Sung Hi Lee est née à Pusan en Corée du Sud le 1er avril 1970. Aucune information n'a été trouvée sur la période 1970-1978 sur sa vie.
En 1978 (19 février), pendant ses années d'école primaire, elle et son frère déménagent à Chicago (Etats-Unis) pour être avec leur père. Sung Hi a été élevée dans la tradition coréenne de la discipline stricte. Elle a obtenu de bons résultats à l'école, mais a eu un moment difficile d'adolescence, avec peu d'amis. Son père, un alcoolic, n'était pas bon pour soutenir sa fille financièrement et avec émotion, fournissant à sa fille sept belles-mères successives. Ces circonstances ont incité la jeune Sung Hi à quitter la maison occasionnellement et de tenter de se suicider.
