Actrice et Artiste ( Américaine) Passionnée de danse, Nikki Cox dévoile ses talents pour la première fois au cinéma à l'âge de 10 ans dans la comédie familiale Mac et moi (1988). La même année, elle s'illustre dans les vidéos musicales "Moonwalker" de Michael Jackson et "Straight Up" de Paula Abdul.
Se concentrant sur sa carrière d'actrice, elle se fait connaître sur le petit écran grâce aux séries télé. Après des apparitions dans Star Trek: Next Generation, L'incorrigible Cory, Une Nounou d'enfer et Alerte à Malibu, elle obtient un rôle régulier dans le soap Hôpital central (1993) pendant 2 saisons. Mais c'est surtout en interprétant la fille de la famille déjantée de Unhappily Ever After (1995) qu'elle est reconnue du grand public.
