Mannequin et Sex symbolNée le 22 avril 1923Décédée le 11 décembre 2008 (à l'âge de -87 an) Bettie Mae Page est un mannequin et pin-up américain, née le 22 avril 1923 à Nashville dans le Tennessee et morte le 11 décembre 2008 à Los Angeles, célèbre dans les années 1950 pour ses photos de pin-up mais également pour nombre de clichés fétichistes. Elle fut, en janvier 1955, l'une des premières playmate du mois du magazine Playboy.
Tombée dans l'oubli dans les années 1960, elle s'était tournée vers la religion. Dans les années 1980, ses photos connurent un regain de popularité. Devenue une icône de la sous-culture, son look a influencé de nombreux artistes.
Son enfance est difficile. Ses parents connaissent une situation financière précaire aggravée par la crise économique de 1929 et déménagent fréquemment jusqu'à être mis à la porte de chez eux.
