John Wayne Gacy Jr. (17 mars 1942, Chicago, Illinois, États-Unis - 10 mai 1994, Joliet, Illinois) est l’un des tueurs en série américains les plus connus, surnommé le « clown tueur » du fait qu'il avait l'habitude de se déguiser en clown pour amuser les enfants dans les hopitaux.
En 1978, la police est venue chez lui après des recherches à propos d’étranges disparitions de jeunes hommes ayant travaillé pour lui. Des prospections plus approfondies ont révélé qu’il était impliqué dans ces disparitions. 27 cadavres ont été retrouvés enterrés dans la fosse septique sous sa demeure et 6 autres corps ont été repêchés dans la rivière de Des Plaines.
