Acteur et Artiste ( Américain) Tony Curtis, de son vrai nom Bernard Schwartz, est un acteur américain, né le 3 juin 1925 dans le Bronx, à New York (États-Unis).
Il est le fils d’Emmanuel et Helen Schwartz, une famille de juifs hongrois du Bronx. Rendu célèbre par son physique de jeune premier et son accent typiquement new-yorkais, son nom restera associé à son interprétation dans Certains l'aiment chaud avec Jack Lemmon et Marilyn Monroe. Il a figuré dans plus de cent films depuis 1949.
Considéré à ses débuts comme un beau gosse de plus, l’acteur a fini par faire la preuve de son talent dans des films d’exception comme dans The Sweet Smell of Success avec Burt Lancaster et dans son rôle d’un évadé de prison enchaîné à Sidney Poitier dans The Defiant Ones, qui lui a valu une nomination aux Oscars.
