Roy Scheider est un acteur américain, né le 10 novembre 1932 à Orange, dans le New Jersey (États-Unis) et décédé le 10 février 2008 à Little Rock (Arkansas) des suites d'un myélome (une maladie de la moelle osseuse). Roy Scheider a été marié deux fois et a eu trois enfants. Il est connu entre autre pour avoir joué dans le film de Steven Spielberg : Les dents de la mer.
