Samuel Kamau Wanjiru, né le 10 novembre 1986 à Nyahururu et mort le 15 mai 2011(à 24 ans), est un athlète kényan spécialiste des épreuves de fond. Aux Jeux olympiques d'été de 2008, à Pékin, il remporte la médaille d'or du marathon en établissant un nouveau record olympique. Âgé de seulement 21 ans, il devient ainsi le plus jeune athlète à remporter l'épreuve du marathon depuis 1932 et le premier Kényan à gagner l'or olympique sur cette distance. Wanjiru est le plus jeune coureur à avoir été couronné dans quatre marathons majeurs (Pékin 2008, Londres 2009 et Chicago 2009, 2010).
