Dwight David Eisenhower, né à Denison (Texas) le 14 octobre 1890, décédé à Washington (D.C.) le 28 mars 1969. Officier de l'Armée américaine et 34e président des États-Unis d'Amérique. Suivi du général H.D.G. Crerar, le général Dwight D. Eisenhower inspecte la garde d'honneur de la 4e Division blindée canadienne à Hertogenbosch (Pays-Bas), le 29 novembre 1944. Photo par Harold G. De 1911 à 1915, il étudie à la Military Academy de West Point. Il ne peut participer aux combats de la Première Guerre mondiale, car l'armée l'assigne plutôt à l'entraînement des troupes. Il suit les cours de la Command and General Staff School de Leavenworth (Kansas) en 1925, puis de l'Army Staff College de Washington (D.C.), dont il est diplômé en 1...
