Elisabeth Sladen née le 1er février 1948 à Liverpool et décédée le 19 avril 2011 est une actrice anglaise principalement connue pour son rôle de Sarah Jane Smith dans la série anglaise Doctor Who puis dans The Sarah Jane Adventures.
Elle est l'une actrice à être le plus couramment apparue dans Doctor Who avec Jon Pertwee et Tom Baker, et a repris de nombreuse fois son rôle. Elle est marié depuis 1968 à l'acteur Brian Miller. Leur fille, Sadie Miller a joué avec elle dans des pièces audios où elle reprenait son rôle de Sarah Jane Smith.
Passionnée par le théâtre dès sa plus jeune enfance, elle rencontre son mari sur les planches du théâtre de Liverpool. Leur métier les oblige à tourner très souvent à travers l'Angleterre. Après des rôles au théâtre notamment dans Othello elle fera une apparition non-créditée dans le film "Ferry Cross the Mersey" .
