Erick Purkhiser, plus connu sous le nom de Lux Interior (né le 21 octobre 1946 à Stow, Ohio, et mort le 4 février 2009 à Glendale, Californie[1]), est un chanteur américain. Il fut l'un des membres fondateurs du groupe The Cramps.
Né à Stow dans l'Ohio, il grandit à Akron avant de partir à Sacramento où il rencontre en 1972 Kristy Wallace, plus connue par la suite sous le pseudonyme de Poison Ivy, avec qui il va fonder The Cramps.
Il s'avouait grand fan d'Iggy Pop qu'il tenta d'imiter pendant ses concerts. Il était également fan de Dexter Romweber, de Black Sabbath, de Johnny Burnette, de The Chantays, des Flamin'Groovies et des Four Winds.
Il déclara, à propos des Hives et des Strokes : « Je ne vois pas ce que leurs disques ont d'excitant, mais les gamins ont raison d'écouter ça plutôt que de la techno. ».
