Architecte et Artiste ( Américain) Né le 08 juin 1867Décédé le 09 avril 1959 (à l'âge de 91 ans) Frank Lloyd Wright (8 juin 1867, Richland Center, Wisconsin, États-Unis - 9 avril 1959, Phoenix, Arizona) est un architecte américain célèbre.
En 1887, il s'installe à Chicago dans l'Illinois. Il y travaille pour le compte des cabinets d'architecture de L. Silsbee puis d'Adler et Sullivan (1856-1924). Ces derniers représentent l'école de Chicago, et Wright y travailla pendant six ans sur des projets de maisons individuelles. C'est là qu'il acquiert l'essentiel de sa formation et une partie de son inspiration dans ce domaine. Durant cette période, il épouse Catherine Tobin, avec qui il eut six enfants. En 1889, il emprunte 5000$ à Sullivan (environ 150 smics) pour construire une maison à Oak Park, dont le style préfigure de futures réalisations..
